Designed for La Marsa, "You & Me" is an interior design concept envisioned for a 370 m² crêperie, waffle house, and ice cream parlour. The proposal reimagines the sweet break as a playful, immersive experience — one where colour itself becomes an architectural element.
The design calls for a coffered ceiling in coral-toned wood, articulated through geometric grids and perforated slats, structuring the space and setting a warm rhythm from the entrance onward. These coffers would play against curved white plaster forms, softening the ceiling's strict geometry and creating a dialogue between rigor and fluidity. A white terrazzo floor flecked with black would anchor the space in a timeless aesthetic, while the envisioned furniture — teal velvet armchairs, deep coral banquettes — would inject saturated colour against the neutrality of the floor and textured column cladding. Tropical leaf-patterned wallpaper, in emerald green within the banquette alcoves and coral in more intimate corners, would punctuate the layout and subtly define distinct zones without relying on solid partitions. Brass-rimmed round mirrors and gold pendant lighting would reinforce a confident vintage-glamour character throughout. At the heart of the space, between the service counter and the dining area, a golden seated-figure sculpture is proposed as a focal point — an artistic gesture meant to personalize the space and encourage social sharing, in keeping with the venue's convivial purpose. Large glazed openings would connect the interior to its surroundings, flooding the space with natural light and reinforcing its welcoming character.
"You & Me" reflects an approach to interior design where every material, colour, and texture would contribute to a single story — one of sharing, indulgence, and togetherness.
