Studio conception
In Raoued, Studio Jeu occupies 80 m², designed as a spectacular television game-show set. Completed in 2024, this studio design project stages a circular scenic architecture, where decorative heritage and lighting technology combine to create an immersive backdrop.
The set is organized as a circular arena, where a white central platform, ringed by a glowing light band, occupies the heart of the stage. Beams of light converge toward this central point from the dome above, creating a radiant effect that immediately draws the eye and lends the space an almost ceremonial quality. The perimeter of the set is composed of a series of perforated vertical panels, featuring geometric patterns inspired by traditional Maghrebi craftsmanship — rosettes and gilded interlacing motifs recalling mashrabiya screens and carved doors. This heritage-inspired decorative vocabulary, reinterpreted through contemporary LED lighting, anchors the set in a strong cultural identity while giving it a distinctly televisual quality. Each panel is framed by angular white light strips, punctuated by rows of illuminated dots that give rhythm to the composition and heighten the scenic effect on camera, especially through the interplay of reflections across the black-and-white lacquered floor.
Studio Jeu reflects an approach to television set design where local architectural heritage becomes a contemporary visual language, in service of spectacle and the show's identity.
